Dear Citizens here are the reports presented by our PM on Status of PDP’s first 100 days pledges, any comments??? 1)Fulfilled -Initiate Meet-the-People program -Table Right to Information Bill -Do away with the Pedestrian Day -Initiate annual grant of Nu 2M for every gewog -Offer student discounts for public transport including air travel -Do away with taxes for small and rural businesses -Designated seats in public transport for senior citizens, pregnant women, mothers with toddlers and people with special needs -Free electricity to rural households -Not increase government ministries. Prime minister will also assume portfolio of at least one ministry(Partially) -Review present proposal to increase electricity tariff and try to ensure not to increase the tariff -Identify wasteful spending in the government 2)Work in progress -Start a social media wing -Call the Pay Commission to revise pay and allowances of civil servants and LG leaders. -Also introduce 20 percent housing allowance for civil servants -Revise Tenancy Act -Revise national minimum wage rate -Prioritise solving census issue -Three months maternity leave and six months flexi time for working mothers -Build homes for the elderly near monasteries -Allowance for senior citizens above 70 years -Establishment of Art and culture Endowment; Education Endowment; Research Endowment funds -Draft National Film Policy -Initiate rural posting allowance for civil servants, particularly teachers, posted in rural areas -Introduce government subsidised loan schemes for students to pursue higher studies -Initiate a nationwide poverty census -Comprehensive private sector development plan -Study possibilities of introducing a cap on taxi numbers -Lift vehicle import ban for rural businesses and farmers to let them buy utility vehicles -to facilitate rural development -Start negotiating with the relevant state governments of India to restart the Bhutan lottery business -Full employment for youth and initiate a youth employment policy -Draft legislation to ensure 20 percent quota for women in all elected offices -Promote meritocracy in civil service, by initiating scholarships in prestigious universities -Review nutrition level of food in boarding schools -Study likely impact of BCCI’s excise duty recommendations 3)Not fulfilled -Remove preliminary exams to appear Civil Service Board exams
