Dear Clark County Voter: I have interviewed dozens of Judicial - TopicsExpress

Dear Clark County Voter: I have interviewed dozens of Judicial candidates today, and more tomorrow. I hear one thing when I ask the question, CPS (Child Protective Services) has efficacy issues, as well as some major issues with inappropriate behavior in the past. Please discuss what you see the problem is, and what you would do to help...if you could. I got the answer They are underfunded as the most common. They are understaffed as number two. They are not properly trained as number three. I then asked each judge; Are they focused on abuse, or do they spend too much time looking at stable families who spank their kids, or have recreational marijuana in the home that a jilted wife/husband uses to hurt the spouse with for leverage in their divorce? WOW...you would think I cured AIDS or Cancer. WTF? Is this brain surgery? If CPS is spending valuable energy/time/resources on non child endangerment issues...of course they are overworked and underfunded. Maybe our family courts should not deem a father/mother unfit if they use marijuana to treat chronic pain or disease. Maybe we bring upon ourselves a myriad of problems due to our idiotic approach to legislation and judging our neighbors? Maybe being LIBERTARIAN isnt only viable but logical to stop our society from becoming an unsustainable turgid fetid failure led by ideologue puritans that have no fundamental understanding of the term Live Free? Or...Im wrong...and we just need to throw more money at the problem. I guess well see.
