Dear Colleagues: It is with great satisfaction that we inform you that the new impact factor of the Brazilian Journal of Physical Therapy (BJPT) is 0.979, according to the Journal Citation Reports (JCR) 2014 Edition. This result shows the stability of our IF, even with the change of name in the JCR listing from Revista Brasileira de Fisioterapia to Brazilian Journal of Physical Therapy. Another important factor to be considered was the increase in the 5-year impact factor, which is now 1.142. Considering the small number of ahead-of-print articles, the 5-year impact factor is a more precise reflection of the influence of our journal in the international scientific community. Once again, we wish to thank all authors, reviewers, editors, and the entire BJPT team for their efforts, which have contributed directly to this achievement. Débora and Sérgio
