DDP and KZNDEF recognize the critical role media plays in enabling citizens to participate in democratic processes of our country. Background history of the KZNDEF The KZNDEF is a network of Civil Society Organisations in KwaZulu Natal which was established in 1998 out of the need for a neutral body to undertake civic education. The KZNDEF undertakes voter and democracy education, as well as monitoring and observing of elections in KwaZulu Natal. The Forum invites you to be part of the launch. Intention of the Forum In the run-up to the 2014 National and Provincial elections, the forum would like to inform CSOs, government and other institutions working on democracy about its existence, and to strengthen partnerships with relevant stakeholders. The meeting will be opportunity to understand the work of the KZNDEF, and to contribute towards the planning of upcoming activities.
