Dear Couple Of People Who Sent Me Private Messages Asking That I Participate In Copy/Paste chain status updates because youre so popular.. blah, blah, blah... intentions... blah, blah, blah... the holidays... blah, blah, blah and Anyone Else Whos Thinking Of Asking: 1. I am all that popular. Just looked and I have 322 Facebook friends and the majority never interact with me. But, thanks for the *compliment*. Maybe I seem popular because of a core group of friends who regularly interact and probably know me as well as anyone Ive spent physical time with. They know me well enough to understand Im not the person most likely to participate in Copy/Paste chain status updates. So, thanks for not paying attention except when you want something. 2. If you care enough to want to know why I dont participate in Copy/Paste chain status updates, here you go: a) If youd paid ANY attention to my statuses - its not difficult to figure out that I do not believe in stuff like god(s), prayer, that intentions can magically avalanche, (since when is an avalanche a good thing?) or that the universe (like a *god* or human), has a personality, moods and vibes that can be manipulated by humans thoughts or intentions. b) Copy/Paste chain status updates, (ever notice how rarely anyone bothers to put quotation marks around them?), are to me, comparable to sending out boxed greeting cards to a bazillion people and not taking the time to include even a short personal note, in your own handwriting. When youre the recipient of such a card, you pretty much know/feel, that very little thought was put into into it, aside from addressing the cards and walking to the mailbox and might even think to yourself, Damn, they coulda saved themselves a stamp. Puh... When that happens to me, feels like what theyve actually sent is an unwritten obligation to send a card back. c) This is Facebook -- not a web site for writers only. Yes, some people have a stick up their butts about spelling and grammar. Thats for them to deal with. Not you. We all have thoughts and feelings. How about typing something sincere, from your own heart, your own experience -- the way you feel. Doesnt have to be long. In fact, shorter may be better, (and not ramble on, the way I tend to). Short, or long -- chances are better than good, that no matter the spelling and grammar errors, even the stick butts will appreciate the sincerity because its from you. Its not my intention to dig at anyone who does Copy/Paste chain status updates for whatever reason. Your biz. No skin off my butt. Have at it. As stated above, this is directed at those who took time out of their yippy skippy days to ask me to participate in the kind stuff, they could have known, strikes me as rather *fake* had they ever used their good intentions to care enough to get to know me. Best regards, Kat -- as ever, YAHFOTI (Your Ass Hole Friend On The Internet)
