Dear Coverdale, My heart is heavy and im needing prayer warriors. We got bad news on Korys genetic testing on his heart. He has the LV non compaction. Which is a grave diagnosis, esp for a 19 yr old. It is a progressive heart disease of the left ventricle, the main pumping station of the heart. It progresses into heart failure. Besides the medicines he is on the only other protection is to have a defribrillator and pacemaker implanted. We leave Sunday for New Orleans. He will have device implanted on Monday, if tests are good monday into tuesday he will be discharged. And depending on time well come in Tues even or Wednesday. This will put him off work for atleast 2 months and alter his activities in the future. His future is kinda up in tha air. Hes been very angry, and now seems depressed. My baby needs prayers bigtime!!!! Please! Please remember us this week and future weeks. Thank you all, im counting on them prayers!! Im pleased to have a praying cardiologist too....what a blessing.
