Dear Crossway Family, We just received word from Nchumpemo - TopicsExpress

Dear Crossway Family, We just received word from Nchumpemo about their youngest child, Elishan. You may recall that Elishan, who is just over a year old, has not been developing normally. Last week, they took Elishan to another city in a neighboring state to have him examined by a neurologist (they have none in Nagaland). The neurologist has diagnosed Elishan as having cerebral palsy. As I’m sure we all realize, this is a deep heartache for Nchumpemo and Fanny, and will mean a completely different life for them than they had envisioned. For now, please be praying. This is all I know from a brief Facebook message. Nchumpemo and I will Skype soon (it is night for them right now) and I will keep you updated as I learn more. But this much is clear: here is another way in which the Lord is calling upon us to serve people and families with special needs. I love how many of you have already responded to help with Elishan; in particular thank you Heather (Osborn)! And thank all of you who have been giving so generously to sustain the Galilee Home and City Youth Fellowship. Nchumpemo said to me while we were there a few weeks ago that he no longer considers these ministries his/their ministries; he said they are our ministries, meaning theirs and Crossway’s together. You can read a bit more from Nchumpemo on the Galilee Home Facebook page.
