Dear Devil families, We hope everyone is enjoying their holidays - TopicsExpress

Dear Devil families, We hope everyone is enjoying their holidays and time off from the footy field. Due to school holidays and Sonia (our newsletter editor) being away, we will not be sending out newsletters until the week of the 14th July, once training resumes. So to keep everyone in the loop in the meantime there are a few things we need to remind you all of:- 1. Holiday training is still on for the U12s and Rob has also offered for any U11s & U13s that need to expel some energy to join in with his team for training sessions. For all other teams, please check with your coach/manager to see if there is any training. 2. As everyone may or may not be aware, Louise White has decided to step down from her canteen duties for the remainder of the year. Jenny Turner, Kim Ballard, Kelli Hewson & Lisa Sherry have all agreed to step into a shared role for the remainder of the season. Louises decision was her own and we believe for personal reasons. We would like to thank for her contribution to the club over the years and wish her all the best for the future. This year has seen our biggest and best volunteer offerings in the canteen, thank you to everyone who has given up your valuable time it is hugely appreciated! however now that Louise (& Jess) have finished up, it has left a massive hole in the canteen helpers this season. Please remember we are a not for profit organisation & rely heavily on any income that we receive during the year and the canteen is our major income source for our club, without it we simply would not survive. The girls have taken on this volunteer role on the condition that they step away from the canteen to watch their own kids games. Therefore we are asking for anyone who has not yet volunteered to please give up 30 mins - 1hr before or after your childs game for the remainder of our home games. We need at least 2 parents per team for each game in the canteen and 2 parents after the last game to help pack/clean up. Please come and see us or your team manager to advise what time suits (if we do not get volunteers we will have no option other than to impose a roster system). We promise its not hard, you will have fun & meet new people! As you would all recall everyone signed a form at sign-on committing to give some time in a volunteer capacity, however we are only seeing the same faces every week. Please your help is needed now more than ever. We only have 3 more Friday nights & 2 more Saturdays at home this season. The dates are :- • Friday 25th July - U11s*, U12s* & U16s • Friday 1st August - U11s* U16s • Saturday 2nd August - U7, U8, U9, U10x2 • Saturday 8th August - U12s & U13s • Friday 22nd August - U12s*, U13s* & U16s (Please note * is unconfirmed by the opposition, if these are not accepted the games will be played on the Saturday). If any of our Junior families are free on Saturday 12th July, we would love to see you at the fields to help out & cheer on our C-Grade team who will be playing their final home game for 2014. For anyone who can volunteer some time, in the canteen, or around the grounds please come and see us for your free gate entry token. 3. Training starts on Tues 15th July & Games start back on Friday 18th July 4. General Committee meeting is set for Tues 15th July at 5.30pm in the clubhouse, all welcome. 5. As we are getting to the end of the season we are starting to get our Presentation Day preparations underway (this will be discussed at our GM). Therefore it is imperative that ALL outstanding fees are settled ASAP so we can start to order trophies & properly plan for our day (Please remember that the fees include the cost of the trophies so please ensure your fees are paid up so your child does not miss out on their very own well deserved trophy on the day). A letter outlining the outstanding fees will be distributed to all team managers to give out once the holidays are over. If anyone is having difficulty in paying their fees please come & see Lisa Sherry at training. 6. Finally as the season is getting closer to the end if anyone is interested in any Committee positions for 2015 now is the time to start thinking about what & how you want to be involved with the mighty Devils. All positions will be declared opened at the AGM in October (date to be announced). If anyone has any questions regarding any positions, please come and see us.
