Dear Dharma brothers and sisters, We rejoice to share with you that Nepal’s first Tacrolimus level measuring facility, was inaugurated by Honorable K.P. Sharma Oli on 20th Sept 2014 at Aarogya Foundation (Ani Choyings Kidney Hospital) in Pulchowk, Lalitpur. This facility will help ensure successful acceptance of transplanted organs by the body. Furthermore, the introduction of this facility in Nepal has eliminated the need to outsource testing to Delhi, reducing transaction costs in foreign exchange and wait time for results by a whole week. Although these advanced services are absolutely necessary, they are not provided by commercial or government hospitals because they are neither seen as profitable nor sustainable. To fill in this gap, Aarogya established this facility with the most advanced technology at the cost of Rs. 8,000,000 (Rupees Eight Million) Founding Chairperson of Aarogya Foundation Ani Choying Drolma donated Rs. 3,500,000 (Rupees 3.5 Million) for this facility.
