Dear Dr Google... The Pearly King of Clarges Street wears many hats; Border Terrier breeder (a prerequisite for the top job at the KC), civil servant (retired), vegetable grower and columnist. His A Vets View column in Dog World has, mostly, steered away from canine politics before and since his election to high office. Politics, however isnt the only area of controversy in the wider dog world. Alternative and complimentary veterinary treatments have strong detractors and evangelical supporters. Chairman Steve doesnt quite dismiss them all as rubbish but he clearly believes in the evidence based scientific method. He has equally clear reservations about some of Dr Googles prescriptions. Some patrons may wonder why bringing the scientific method to the workings of the KC has, so far, proven rather too much for the pearly prof. Perhaps he should consult Dr Google on the matter.
