Dear EVERYONE. I am starting a kickstarter campaign for my next book titled how to self publish like the rest of us. For a zero dollar donation you can find the following steps you will need. 1. Write a decent book. Believe it or not, this is actually the first step. 2. Go on goodreads. Join groups. There are Beta groups and Editing groups. Yes, there are people out there that actually ENJOY editing. This is actually an important step. Once youre happy with your manuscript, join more groups. These groups are specificly set up to read and review... This will at least give you a starting point. 3. Use Google. Teach yourself how to format and prepare your manuscript. 4. Use the FREE, yes FREE, KDP (if you dont know what that is, see step 3) program to create a cover. If you dont think what it produces is good enough, please see step 1 and refer to Slammed by Colleen Hoover. Im *pretty* sure that KDP program created that original cover. If you dont know Slammed or Colleen Hoover, we can no longer be friends. 5. Upload your book and hope for the best. This isnt a dig at anyone (bar those that are requesting money to do what most authors had to do on their own). If you know me, then youll know that I will always, ALWAYS, encourage anyone and everyone to write. In fact, Ive had close friends that have published and Ive been more than happy to provide advice. One of these so called friends even went as far as plagiarizing my unpublished work and... Wait for it... Publishing their stolen words! No, I will not go into detail because Ive moved on from scum. The point is... Be smart. If you want to publish a book, spend your time wisely. It can ALL be done for nothing if you spend your time researching rather than asking for money, especially an unreasonable amount, and especially from people that work hard for their money.
