Dear Editor, We had experienced a lot of turmoil, lawlessness, violence, crime against women, children and peace-loving people in the past few decades. In short law and order were overwhelmed with fear and panic. But now law and order has started returning to normalcy, confidence to the police by itself and by the people has been restored, people have started extending their hands of co-operation to the police though earlier they had the psychosis of fear overwhelmed their mind. No doubt, still there occurs incidents of violence, crimes against women, children etc. but with the skillful handling of the matter by the ingenious policeman almost all the clues of the crime have been unearthed and necessary steps had been taken to bring the culprits to book at the earliest as per law. Definitely all this good and positive results were due to the able and wise supercop at the head of the law enforcing body. It is well in the interest of the public that the present DGP should be allowed to work a bit more time at least for some months. It would be unwise and injustice done to the public if the service of the supercop were not made available at this crucial juncture. He should be allowed to get a full circle completed. It is democracy, it is people’s govt. at the head is the Honourable CM. Decisions are wise and profound if based on public interest - extension of service of the present DGP is in public interest.
