Dear Enbridge (and all the other essential service providers that will inevitably follow your lead), Your obvious greed is going to hurt the most vulnerable in our community. You know, those with fixed and low income, seniors, students, new Canadians, middle income families already stretched well beyond the breaking point. Telling us to conserve or adjust our use, similar to the rhetoric we recently were fed by your Hydro friends just doesnt cut it. Why is it that when we had 10 consecutive winters of above average temperatures did you not lower your rates? Next winter when we have a warm winter will you charge us less? I wont hold my breath. I cant wait for the day when I can afford geothermal and solar energy and I can tell you to shove your ever-increasing bills up your you know what. Until then though, well pay your damn bill because were good, honest people. But please dont misinterpret this... you suck.
