Dear Everyone, The thing is that time had come for us. The Idoru looks back on an eventful history of the past 12 years of the PunkHardcoreMetalRock scene. We gave and got a lot – sometimes good, sometimes bad. We tried to get the best out of our opportunities – whether of concerts, studio work, making a video, helping others or simply just partying. We made lots of friends who helped us grow both mentally and emotionally. THANKS and APPRITIATION! *** We’ve been always representing a modern world in which we hope we could be a fresh and colourful members of the scene. The first part of our history was between 2003-2009, where the different way of our thinking changed the band itself. We spent these seven years with putting something on the table, and to get well-known at the music industry. We’ve been to abroad a lot, even made it to Japan. But as it usually is, every good story has an ending – and the music industry slowly closed its open arms for most of the ‘Eastern-European’ bands. From 2008 things changed and we had more gigs in Hungary than across the border. Probably this was the point where each member took their first steps on different paths. A new era has begun at the second half of 2009 – for the band and also for the scene. Young and great bands appeared on the horizon, who redefined the existing lines, and gave rise to a generational change among the audience. We did the same – re-created ourselves artistically and we made our first steps again – on the same old road. We were not hesitating a lot, we started to do project which seemed to be impossible at the time – and this made us grow as a band. We were never picky, we never measured anything, we were always the ‘go for broke’ types if it was about the scene. We made very good friends with the bands Till We Drop, The Southern Oracle, Leander Rising (+ Blind Myself, Insane, The Grenma...) while we were on tour having fun together. *** We did everything a band can do to make the impossible possible, but we’ve lost our motivation. In the past one and a half year things have been slowed down for us. We still have the quality but not the quantity. We are so sorry, but there is nothing left of us anymore! We can say that we’ve become the victims of our own circumstances that we formed ourselves with 12 years of making our inherent desires, following the uncompromising ideas that should say, compatibility is not really derived from the outside world! Realizing this led us to the decision to stop the Idoru. Maybe in another life...but the show must go on! :) Massive thanks: God, Family, Friend, Enemies, Roads, Ex-Members, Organizers, Club Owners, Everyone who helped us with Accommodation, Festivals, Sponsors, Studios, Producers, Making the Video crews, Drivers, Audio Engineers, Artisjus, EJI, ex-Labels, Patient Bartenders of Czech Pubs, The Translator of This Huge Text, and the Audience!
