Dear F.B. friends, Had to share with you my thoughts after seeing Raanjhana. I really did not understand the meaning of Raanjhana, but I witnessed the most amazing acting by Dhanush. He is indeed Amitabh bacchan in the making. I really did not appreciate the raw passions -love- anger-hate in the film, but the performance of Dhanush is top class. He dances like a monkey, very agile with all his movements, and there is something very Tapori about him, at times he looks like an innocent Pandit at times he becomes a shameless man openly flaunting his love for the heroine. Dhanush has come to stay in Bollywood! Saw Yeh jawani Hai Diwani previous week, naturally being walking distance from Eros I saw that too. Here the breath stopping scene was shot on the snow clad mountins of the Himalayas. I was the only one in the theatre to clap on seeing Ranbir kapoor sing on the top of the mountain. I have been upto Man sarovar and Kailas, where breathing is painfull, I could not imagine a whole shooting unit going up in the Himalayas and prancing around in the snow and singing. Hats off to the Director for managing the entire unit and of course the cinematography is etherial. Ranbir is a Kapoor and of course has all the charm of the Kapoor Khandan. I would like to see this film again for the photography and the beautiful Udaipur Palace where the film is also shot. It was a visual delight Made me feel very young. I have actually started liking the songs since I can hear them from the Eros theatre which is very close to my house. Ketaki Jayakar
