Dear FB Friends & Family, This is a letter I recently sent to my Pasteur.I have not yet recieved a response and time is ticking. Any words of advice would be grately appreciated. Dear Father, I have a little problem I need some advice on. As you know, I am in the process of enrolling Louis in Conn-Area Catholic School. It is anticipated that He is going to start on Tuesday. In accordance with Conn-Area Catholic Schools dress code, it states that boys are not permitted to have long hair. No worries, I have every intention to cooperate with the schools policys and have him up to code by Tuesday. However, the problem I seek your advice on, is how to answer a rather legitimate question I was posed when I discussed this with my son. When I told him he had to cut his hair before starting school, he replied, Im going to Catholic School, right?. I answered him, yes. Then he proceeded to ask me a question Im not sure how to answer. He asked Doesnt Jesus have long hair? I replied, Yes HE does. Louie proceeded to ask, Then what is wrong with it Mom? Why is it bad? Why cant I be like Jesus?. Now I had a feeling he was going to pose an argument such as this, but was hoping he did not. The reason I knew he would is because at least 20 times a day our Aunt Toni says to him You need a haircut! Your a boy, get your haircut! And right above her bed is a picture of The Sacred Heart of Jesus. And he continues to argue, quite thoroughly may I add, that Jesus has long hair, so why cant I. Father please help me. I would like to give him an intelligent answer. But, my 9yr old son has me speechless. Sincerely, Kristy Salandra
