Dear FB! What is going on in Gaza has nothing to do with me. I am just an average, privileged european on holiday. From a beautifully clear blue sky the sun is beaming down on me and in my fridge - which I have turned down a little extra in the intense heat - a bottle of water drawn from the tap is constantly on the ready to quench my thirst. And quite frankly I would have loved if that was all I had to worry about right now, The post which I am about to share with you - consisting of a poem, a video and a lot of comments regarding this - has changed that. The poem moved me. The video made me cry. The comments - particularly the top one - haunt me. The same sun that shines down on me and you is shining down on a part of the world, where a little girl is living a life, that I dont understand and stands up for what she believes in - what she feels so passionately. And a world where soldiers wearing helmets and bodyarmour - but no insignia on their uniforms - are laughing at her. I cant share my perfectly chilled water with these people. But I can share my sentiments and this post with all of you. I really hope that you share them too. And even more I would love it, if we could change what was the top comment.
