Dear FB friends, I am going to keep this short—but did not want to have the year mark of Jons home going go by without thanking all of you for your prayers, love, and care for our family. (Since Ron is not a FB person, I am speaking for him as well.) I dont know if I have learned anything new this year—I just feel that what I already know has become dearer to my heart: • God is everywhere! He fills the room I am sitting in. He consumes my car with His presence as I drive to work each day. He holds my hand when I visit Jons grave. He brings me peace, my just knowing He is there. • Mothers Day has become more special! I told God soon after Jon died, as I was visiting his grave, If Jonathan is okay, Im okay! And I mean it, although I have to remind myself often of this commitment, especially this week. If my son is okay, it eases my pain. What mother wouldnt want to suffer herself to see her son not suffer. • Heaven is for real! My favorite activity now is reading books or listening to Cds on heaven. What a glorious reality!!! OH! Someday soon I will see my Jonathan again, well and whole—no suffering, no pain, no mental delusions, no torment, no depression—only happiness! If we trust in Jesus, we will be forever in His presence and in that of all our loved ones. I literally can hardly wait • LOOK UP! He has entrusted me with precious lives. I dont know in advance what God will allow in their lives or how long their life is each predestined to be—and when one of their lives ends before your own, the lack of foreknowledge is a blessing. I am only called on to love them and take care of them to the best of my ability as long as they are on this earth. God is taking care of them too, and much better than I can! • Love to you all and God bless you this Mothers Day as you think of the the special mother He has given and designed just for you.
