Dear FB friends, I have not mentioned this previously because I wanted to try to privately inform family members and friends of our family first before they found out in a public post (I apologise in advance to anyone I missed), but our family was struck by a very great tragedy this past week. My mother, Sandra Kay Dunkin, passed away suddenly on Thursday morning when she fell and hit her head. The Lord has been giving tremendous grace throughout this time, and I want to give Him the praise and glory for being the God of all comfort (II Cor. 1:3) during this heartbreaking time. We are comforted by the fact that Mom knew the Lord Jesus Christ as her Saviour, and is therefore with Him right now - she was kept by the power of God and is now safe in the arms of Jesus. We all still miss her though. Please pray for us, and especially for Dad as he just lost his wife of 52 years. The visitation is on Wednesday and the funeral on Thursday, both of which will be hard. Please pray for grace, and please pray for a clear presentation of the Gospel at these and that the Lord might use it to draw some lost soul or souls unto Himself for His glory. Our family will be flying out to Arizona this morning, and because the internet access has been turned off for the summer down in Sun City (during the summer, Mom and Dad would live up in Showlow), I will not be on FB again until the beginning of next week, so please do not be offended if I dont respond to any messages, etc. until then.
