Dear FB friends, I want to warn you about purchasing appliances from Sears. They used to have terrific customer service, but that has changed! Ten days ago my refrigerator stopped working so I called the number I was given--that worked fine except that I had to wait until TODAY to have a repairman come to look at it. Thankfully, we have our old (and reliable!) frig in the basement; its a pain going up and down to get things, but oh well. I stayed home today and waited for a repairman who neither showed up nor called! Every time I called the service number to see how things looked for todays appointment, I was told he would be here between 2:30 and 4:30. At 5pm I called again and was told that the appointment had been rescheduled for OCTOBER 6 because the repairman was overbooked for today--thats two weeks from today and nearly 4 weeks from the time I called to report the problem!!! After spending 1 hour and 15 mins. on the phone getting the run around and being disconnected, I am no closer to getting service before Oct. 6. I would contact someone else to fix the frig except I have purchased a warranty plan for the frig, and assume this will be an expensive fix. Do yourself a favor: DONT BUY APPLIANCES FROM SEARS! :/
