Dear FB friends: What are your thoughts on musicians and other artists using crowd funding platforms like Kickstarter, Indiegogo, etc? Does it annoy you to be getting so many repeated requests to support peoples projects or do you see it as a necessary way for folks to survive these days? Im amazed at the sheer amount of spam and stuff that it creates in our inboxes but it just seems like theres no way around it. The public isnt supporting the way they once were. I have limited funds to contribute to such things but I do try to support projects that I feel are especially ambitious and would be impossible to make happen without the extra funding. Anyway, thanks for your time.
