Dear FB network! Today, the 29th January 2013 I had to fight for my integrity and professional life. As a believer in Christ Jesus, we call it a TESTIMONY! This testimony can be coined as the Lord Jesus Christ has shown Himself as my God and He alone determine the end result. About this time last year, I had been in the office of a good Samaritan responding to the suspension letter that was serve on me by Police officers after I refused to leave my work place. A case of tress-passing at my work place was laid against me, by the then chairperson. This case was thrown out by the Prosecutor as it had no grounds to be laid against me. The scenario was that I reported for duty and in two hours time I was tress-passing. I only left the premises because I respect the police uniform. It was clear that a Member of Parliament, who happen to serve on the then unconstitutional elected Executive Committee of this NGO, had her hand in the presence of two white police officers. The police officer who served me with a letter contravene their call of duty as it was not a court order, and had interference of internal affairs - as this letter was not on the official letterhead of the organization. Earlier the morning Police officers were called to the building to remove me, but when they understood what it was the matter they left as it is an internal governance matter, which does not concern police intervention. The representatives of the group was clearly not happy of the response of the police men and therefore opt for other methods. The MP is NOT of the ruling party. It all started the night before (28/012013) when a meeting was called in a Political Partys office to discuss the suspension of the Coordinator of the NGO because of alleged mismanagement. This was decided when prior emails sent between me and the Executive Committee, and the then chairperson was the only person responding. A monthly report contained information of my corrective action to respond to the de-registration of the NPO in October 2012. The major correction was the re-election of the current Executive Committee who suspend me on the 29 Janaury 2013, to be conducted in a constituted AGM. There were irregularities in their recent AGM and the current group acting as the Executive Committee was not prepared to accept this correction, therefore place my office in a difficult position to effectively respond to the de-registration. However, this is what I was accused of and when taking corrective measures, the group prevent all possible chances for the organization to regain its legal status. Their failure in their plans has allowed the organization to maintain its legal status and everything is above board. My integrity, character and human rights has a knock and the Lord Jesus Chirst is in the process to restore me. They played an ugly game to discredit me at the various government departments, which my office worked closely. Soon an investigation was lodged, with a pile of complaints the then chairperson send to these departments against me and the organization. The obvious happened in the AGM. They were not elected as the Executive Committee in properly constituted AGM. Governace were restored, but they destroyed our Donor base, our NGO network base, the funding base and the Social capital I build over the past 10 years since 2003 (special relationships down the drain) with one sided version of the stories they fabricated. Part of their pile of complaints was The a NGO that accused me in a written letter of charging a client money and when investigated - I was never the person. The investigation deliver questionable governance modes operandi under the then chairperson, who led the team to suspend me on this day (29/01/2013). They argued, I never object of their actions, why suddenly now and that I benefit from the money. I alert the investigation that in my report delivered in January 2013 has highlighted the reasons why I could not object - as the then chairperson confirm that she does not report to my office and nor be subjected. The previous EXCO backed, with only the vice - chairperson objecting, and the some government officials who also support her claim. It escalate after this investigation, which propose corrective measures. Another blow to this team who suspend me and the outcome they wanted was not forthcoming. THE OUTCOME WAS TO REMOVE ME FROM THE ORGANIZATION, WITH A BAD NAME AND NOT EMPLOYABLE AGAIN/ IMPRISONMENT. Other attacks were launched, which can only be coined as the abused of government powers and portfolios, and a member of the public with insufficient information submitting written complaints against the NGO to departments to act. It was a difficult time for me and my wife. Some evenings I could not sleep as the fear grip me of the police might arrive at my door. The then chairperson accused of theft of the company vehicle and if not delivered a case of theft would be open against, while the vehicle was at the company used for operational activities in the care of the most senior staff after myself. In the meantime I was busy preparing for the special general meeting. Can you believe it! Financially, I had such a knock it is unbelievable. At the end this chairperson, claimed in the news papers been naive, but been quiet about questionable governance during her tenure was allowed. But, in all this the Lord was our protection and shelter. Exactly, a year later, the Lord provided and is still busy healing me and my wife from this ordeal and now it is my testimony. Praise to Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
