Dear FOMV: Is anybody else sick of the leafblowers? I suspect many of you are off at work during the day, so may not know it, but there is at least (1) leafblower who is here daily operating for approximately 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. The noise is absolutely unbearable if you are working from home or lucky enough to just be trying to relax. Thoughts: 1. How big a concern are leaves? I understand they can be a slip hazard on concrete walks, but Ive observed the blower operator blowing leaves OUT of planted landscape areas, to be bagged up and hauled off. (wouldnt it be better and more natural to allow these leaves to decompose and feed the plants, as they do in nature?). 2. These leaves are taken to landfills. 3. The leafblowers are loud. Very loud. 4. Leaf blowers produce air pollution. 5. Two people could be employed raking and probably be the same or similar cost for 1 person leaf blowing, yet it would be nearly silent, and wouldnt pollute. Sincerely, Fed Up with The Noise
