Contemporary Dance Experience, Africa’s leading contemporary dance festival held in Durban, South Africa! The company will travel to Durban and Johannesburg, South Africa from August 28 – September 8, 2013. Most of the journey will be in Durban, South Africa’s leading city on the Indian Ocean, with a stop in Johannesburg, to experience Africa’s commercial and cultural center in high form. Deeply Rooted is the first US based dance company to be invited to JOMBA! and excitement is abound in both the United States and South Africa about this unique collaboration. JOMBA! As one of South Africa’s most prestigious contemporary dance gathering, JOMBA! is a vehicle to showcase contemporary dance and provide a space for South African artists. Equally important to the festival is the inclusion of international companies to share their methods, teach and perform.
