Dear Facebook Family and Friends, Some of you have boldly - TopicsExpress

Dear Facebook Family and Friends, Some of you have boldly asked (thank you for your authenticity and boldness) why I havent posted many of my thoughts, concerns, and opinions this year on Facebook. I have avoided answering your questions due to one simple reason. It has been a year of listening and watching how and why others express themselves. I have not been excluded. Sometimes we can find ourselves so caught up in the thoughts and opinions of others that we forfeit our reasoning and clarification to them. Our one true absolute can only come from our One True Triune God. It is in this rock all confusion is eliminated. Misconceptions become the catalyst for the enemy to penetrate false beliefs and utilizes them to destroy individuals, relationships and family units. It is my observation that we are so easily influenced by others that we lack consideration of other possibilities. We are better servants of the Kingdom of God when we grasp the fact that we all look through our own misunderstandings and presuppositions. The ability to be free from these is impossible without seeking to see through the eyes of Truth. The early church experienced these same obstacles. The Apostle Paul wrote (inspired by the Holy Spirit) to the church at Philippi to focus their thoughts. In order to focus OUR thoughts Paul offers a solution focused structure in Philippians 4. Here is a last piece of advice. If you believe in goodness and if you value the approval of God, fix your minds on the things which are holy and right and pure and beautiful and good. (Phillips: Touchstone) For me, the question now becomes the question of my willingness to set aside what I think I know and pursue Truth in every aspect of my thoughts. There are some things I do know. God is all powerful and all knowing. I know that, without the guidance of God, left to my own devices, I can easily become a catalyst for the enemy. How do I know? Well, lets look at it. I, in my own power, will not naturally consider the best in everyone. I will take what others say and make it my truth without hearing the best and highest for others. (mankinds sin nature as the result of the fall). When I engage in this deception my actions follow. I start alienating others based on the analysis of others, become unwilling to hear both sides but most importantly I start believing that I have a dog in their hunt. Not my zoo...not my monkeys! I find myself exactly where God would NOT want me to be. I start focusing on the unnoble, the unhonorable, the impure, unlovely, the negative, the exact opposite of our commandment in Philippians 4. So...with careful consideration I choose to seek the approval of God not man. It is when I deliberately acknowledge my weakness without Him and set my path with Him that I can be assured that His plan is for the highest and best for ALL His children. And yes, that perfect plan includes even those I find difficulty in understanding. It is NOT my understanding that I focus upon but rather the characteristics of THE One who has all power. That Power is God. May we find Him now. Half measures avail us nothing. We stand at the turning point with complete abandonment secure in His protection and care.(Wilson, 1937) As the calendar is turned to move into 2015, I continue to proclaim His faithfulness in my own life as well as the lives of those He allows to be a part of the journey He has before me. The road has not been without bumps however it has been FULL of His consistent love and grace just exactly how He promises. For all who find themselves struggling I submit to you, based on THE absolute and His faithfulness evidenced in my own experience and hope, that with the conscious decision to seek Him as your Savior in all aspects of your thoughts and actions He is faithfully transforming his creation back to Him! That my friends includes you and me! Happy New Year! Love, Karen 💟
