Dear Facebook Friends, Earlier this year I took some much needed time off my design work to concentrate soley on writing music. After a month or so of completely immersing myself and working under the radar, not only did I have enough material to produce my first album, but I had written and arranged enough material to keep me busy for another five albums. Featuring the most talented vocalist I’ve ever heard, Julia stepped in and provided the exotic glue that took my scribbled down lyrics, odd time signatures and über complex changes to a level that would surpass my own unachievably high expectations. The name of our group is called ‘The Speedmasters’ and our debut album is called ‘Ranchanova.’ Our sound has a very lush, cinematic feel with a Bossa nova, Jazzy Funk pop vibe. Trying to put it into a specific genre’ is imposible. Producing ‘Ranchanova’, I was responsible for literaly everything. From writing all the music and lyrics, playing and arranging every instrument, recording and ultimately mastering all the songs down to a final product that could be digitally distributed. At the very beginning of the project I knew I also wanted to handle marketing, develop an Ecomerce website and start a new record label that would keep the project completely independent and more importantly to me…completely personal.
