Dear Facebook friends and fam, thought this would be an easier way to get back to all. Thank you for your concerns for Dean and I. We have been fine. No flooding where we are but horrible devastation very close to us, maybe 5 miles away. Many roads washed away to main arteries, bridges are of big safety concern, thousands of people have been misplaced and evacuated. Hopefully to return by Monday or next weeks sometime. Hundreds of homes flooded. More rain expected today. Estes Park lake was flowing over into the Big Thompson River which came down the mountain into these small rivers and creeks swelling them to 100 times their size. Death toll is up to four people. On another note-surgery went well. I am recovering nicely and was able to come home Wednesday. Hospital wanted half of the 40k it was to cost for surgery up front, so we had to take out a loan as our insurance paid out almost nothing as usual. We are managing. Despite we are enjoying what Colorado has to offer and we enjoy the neighborhood. Still looking for employment for Dean and I am on my way to testing out on my state exam.
