Dear Facebook friends and family, Once again, we find ourselves in the midst of yet another election season. With all of the television ad campaigns, newspaper opinion pieces, and street signs everywhere you look touting one candidate over another, one can become confused; perhaps even concerned. Being a responsible voter means doing your research on the candidates BEFORE you go to the polls to vote. Being an engaged voter means following the winners that prevail in the elections AFTER they are sworn into their respective offices. It takes effort, research, and involvement on the part of voters to hold elected officials accountable for their actions while in office. Remember, vote for the candidate that you believe understands the meaning of being a PUBLIC SERVANT. Elected officials are there to SERVE their citizens. NOT the other way around.
