Dear Facebook/plumber friends. Been having sewer gas come out of these drains and decided to look into fixing them. The caps are no where to be found. Both drains are rotted quite badly. Seems like they may have ptraps as they seem to hold water. One is in the basement and one in the garage. Both are connected to the sewer line. The garage was clogged but after some plunging and shaving a flowing garden hose in it I seem to have gotten it flowing. Am I looking at punching a big hole in my garage and basement floor to fix this? Can anyone give me some insight on what Im getting myself into?
