Dear Facebook team, I am writing to report an emerging trend of new mode of harassment on facebook in Taiwan. I noticed a number of facebook users experienced difficulties in accessing their accounts because of the allegation that they were using fake-names. Those people include: 1. Some Taiwanese aboriginals, whose actual name do not follow the Chinese standard three-word name, AND 2. Some public writers who were known by their pseudonyms. They were sometimes reported by people who do not agree with their stance. I suggest facebook to include a mechanism of verification to filter out potential malignant reports before bringing any account, especially those with an established history of usage, to a halt. For instance, facebook could consider sending inquiry to a number of friends connected to the reported account to verify its nature.
