Dear Facebookers, I want to talk about something called Accountability. I viewed the surveillance footage from the convenience store where the police in #Ferguson say Michael brown assaulted the clerk and took several packs of cigars (Which is a felony). I compared those pictures to the awful pics online of Mr. Browns body laying in the street (the person has on the same bright yellow socks and clothes), and from what it seems it looks like Mr. Brown did commit a felony crime 14 mins before he was confronted by the officer who shot him. Now let me be VERY clear here... Does this change the FACT that he was unarmed and that he was shot and killed by an officer? NO. Does this change the FACT that he was not just some innocent kid that the cop just rolled up on and confronted and shot in cold blood? YES. I am in NO WAY siding with the police for killing an unarmed kid...HOWEVER facts are just that, FACTS. Speaking of FACTS, that Surveillance footage doesnt lie. That 911 call by the store clerk before the shooting doesnt lie. If that man went to the store with his friend and stole some cigars, (which you can see in his hand on the footage) If that man grabbed that store clerk by the collar and essentially assaulted him (which you can see by the footage) Then he is ACCOUNTABLE! Now does he deserve to die over some packs of cigars??? NO But again comes the word ACCOUNTABILITY. Has ANYONE besides me thought about the simple FACT that if he just wouldve paid for those Cigars that he might would be alive right now? Im BY NO MEANS taking the polices side because they still shot an unarmed kid, but again the FACTS are just that, FACTS. We as HUMAN BEINGS period must be ACCOUNTABLE for the things we do and the consequences of our actions. This is a situation that could have EASILY been avoided. I hate the FACT that a young black man lost his life at the hands of the police, but I even more hate the FACT that it was over some damn swisher sweet cigars. The Bottom Line is that we have to DO BETTER. Its hard enough being treated as equals in a place that was never equal to begin with, but when we do things to put a target on our back, were asking for what happens next. People that read this may get mad with their opinions, but from where im from FACTS trump OPINIONS 10 times out of 10. #RIPMikeBrown Thanks, -Management (management336@gmail)
