Dear Family and friends, I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your kind thoughts, prayers and acts during the difficult time of my dads death. The celebration of his life was truly wonderful. He touched and impacted many lives in many different ways. He had a true servants heart and knew that one person could help change the world for the better. He served on more than 30 missions throughout the United States and overseas. He was onery, stubborn, had a hot temper and sharp tongue, but at the same time he had a generous heart, quick smile and if it was within his power hed happily help you with anything you needed. He loved sports. He had four daughters but at a time when girls werent allowed to play little league, he still coached little league ball for 17 years. Many of my classmates played for him, and in one breath would say how hard he was on them but how they loved playing for him. He loved music and often asked me to play for him or sing some of his favourite hymns. Once when I was about 8 or 9 he and I drove to my Uncle Vics house in Osseo Michigan to pick up a side of beef and we sang all the way from Bristol to Osseo and back. He couldnt sing very well but what he lacked in talent he made up for in enthusiasm! We are happy to know where he currently resides and pray that he doesnt get too bossy and get himself kicked out....see you come day dad!
