Dear Fans We would like to formally confirm that we deactivated the mpesa line at 4.14 pm at Safaricom Outlet at Nyayo Stadium. Indeed you recall that at exactly 4 pm we posted on all walls that we had used for this campaign we were at that juncture on the task of deactivating the line. It follows therefore that any fan who happened to have send any money after 4.14 pm should kindly note that the funds didnt reach the committee. Such fan is advised to visit the nearest Safaricom helpdesk just incase a reversal hasnt reached his/her phone. We aver that Safaricom repeatedly assured us that the line is deactivated and can henceforth not receive mpesa transactions. They further assured that in the unlikely event that any transactions goes through, then the funds shall within 24 hours reverse automatically to the sender. We take this early opportunity to humbly request anyone who is aware of any complaint from any contributor that his/her transaction has not be announced to advise the said fan to visit nearest Safaricom offices for clarification. We confirm also that we have retained a hard copy printout of all the mpesa transactions which occurred while the line was under our custody for your ease of reference.
