Dear Father in heaven, We kneel before You honored that we may come to You with our supplications. We thank You for Your gift of salvation, and for Your faithfulness and grace which You pour out into our lives continually as we yield to You. We pray today, Lord, specifically that You would love through us. As general as that sounds, we mean it - we want to love You more, following the first greatest commandment You have given. Show us how to love You with our whole lives, with all of our hearts and souls. We are told that if we love You, we will keep Your commandments - and that the first great commandment is to love You. Love and obedience go hand in hand. We pray that we would be so filled with love for You, our God, that this love would spill over into the lives of the people around us. Light up our eyes with Your love. Let us shine. Help us hide Your Word in our hearts. Just infuse us daily with true, godly love and help us to reach out our hands and hearts to help and love others as You have so loved us. How often we hear Jesus loves you, but how soon we forget. Oh Father, may we heed those words and understand the gravity of the truth behind them. Help us to love our family, friends, and communities. This love is a living love, that does not just accept and condone, but drives to change and push into action. We dont want to remain the same, Lord. We want to become more and more like You and to inspire others to do the same. Thank you, Father. In the name of Jesus we ask these things, Amen.
