Dear Fellow Runners 2015 TNF100 - 100 Runners for 1 Million Dollars (for Patients with Life-Limiting Diseases) I would like to invite you to join me to run for a noble cause in this year’s TNF100. Like me, you might know of people who are struggling with life-limiting diseases, and the agony faced by their caregivers and loved ones. This run is to demonstrate to them that we are aware of their conditions and the challenges they face day-in and day-out away from the hustle and bustle of a busy Singapore always short on time. We may not all be able to relate to their specific disease but we wish to let them know that we have come together to journey alongside them through this run. This run is also to show that there are people who can help them live out the last days of their lives with their heads held high and in the comfort of their own homes surrounded by those who are closest and dearest to them. Again through this run, we join our hearts and hands with the many courageous and dedicated staff of palliative and hospice care in Singapore to raise funds in support of them. I would like you to join me to run for 50K or more and to raise $1,000.000.00 or more for the patients of HCA Hospice Care, the largest home care organisation in Singapore. You may come from different running groups e.g. F1 Runners, MR25, NB Runners, Peirce Reservoir Runners, Running Department, SG Runners, TeamFatbird Running, etc. It is our hope to see the various tribesmen/tribeswomen come together for a common cause, where they lay down their arms and mutual rivalry to train together. We envision that the momentum and vibrations generated by this “band of warriors” will catch the attention of the media and the rest of society with ultra-running becoming a symbol of and epitomises the epic struggle in the end-of-life journey i.e. while it is painfully tough, it is made bearable and dignified when the ultra-runner and the patient is embraced and supported by a community who cares.
