Dear First Lady It’s been a long time since I’ve written poetry to a lady Unfortunately this one has a tone of apology To: My First Lady, From: A mister who deserves no sympathy I want to say that I’m sorry I wanted to be the man who didn’t make you worry I wanted you to bring all your problems- and with joint hands we would both carry I wanted you to laugh out loud (lol) around me like that movie by Tyler Perry Thing is- I don’t know how to show you the above Now it seems everything I do and say is making you fly away like a dove I don’t want to live in a world where I don’t know you I don’t want another mister to take you from being one to two I actually do want you to be happy I wanted to call you baby and you call me honey like a bee If you want me to wait then just let me know Cause at the moment my heart just can’t accept that you want to let us go...
