Dear Friend: Election day is almost here, and if you have not yet voted, I ask you to compare your choices for State Treasurer. Garcia supports Barrack Obama and Obamacare … I oppose President Obama’s extreme left wing agenda and his job killing, National debt raising Obamacare. My opponent said I MUST elect Barack Obama. Garcia claims to be a professional certified public account but signed a plea bargain agreement in September admitting she is guilty of violating the state’s ethics laws. Garcia says she is NOT a politician - but she and her husband attended the Democrat National Convention in 2008 and 2012, she was an officer in the Arkansas Democrat Party, and she has campaigned relentlessly against me for months. She and her husband Jorge, have contributed thousands to both President Obama and the Democrat Party of Arkansas. We all know we must never allow Martha Shoffner type corruption in the state Treasurer’s office again. So, I made a pledge back in February, and challenged all candidates to make the same pledge, that neither I nor any member of my staff would take gifts from those who do business with the state. It took Garcia five months to follow my lead. I’ve put out a best practices plan that tells voters exactly how I will use innovation and technology to make the state Treasurer’s office open, transparent and accountable. I’ve included plans to promote financial literacy and the 529 college fund program when elected. I’m still waiting to hear from Garcia what she will do if elected. All I hear from her is desperate, untrue and negative attack ads. The choice for state Treasurer this November is clear. I will follow a simple motto while in office: “Obey the law. Do what’s right.” Garcia’s motto seems to be: “Get elected by any means necessary.” Please, share this with your friends and family.
