Dear Friends (Activity Post), स्वच्छ भारत. A cleaner India. Making a Difference by Being the Difference (MAD) is holding a massive transformation exercise on October 2, (Gandhi Jayanti). Please report sharp at 9 am, Astley Hall. Wee will have a unique clean up drive at the Neshvilla Road dump. from 9-10 am we will reach out to the local people and then conduct the transformational activity with them. We shall be painting on the shabby walls of Neshvilla and also wash (and paint) the bin itself! We need paints/ artists for this! Even if remotely interested, please get in touch with us at 8923877906. It may be noted that MAD has conducted many transformational activities in the past; the major ones being at Tapkeshwar and Sahastradhara. We have actively campaigned in Neshvilla Road. Through our efforts a bin was put at the spot and the Nagar Nigam vehicle now lifts garbage twice a day; but our ambitious Neshvilla project is still pending before the Municipality. The clarion call of the Government of India is worth appreciating. But MAD has never been one of those who have embraced environmental consciousness only on auspicious occasions. We have noticed that people are impressed most by our clean up drives as the pictures seem to be most moving. We have been in the business of self-less clean up drives since three years. Many have criticized us for the same; saying it brings no solutions; whereas we have already worked out many micro level solutions in the city. And are also engaged with the Government in policy level discussions. Please come in the activity. It is open for all.
