Dear Friends, Any day, the U.S. Supreme Court will rule on another campaign finance case called McCutcheon v. Federal Election Commission, which could extend the argument that money is speech to wealthy individuals, allowing them to donate millions of dollars to candidates and political parties, rather than the hundreds of thousand allowable now. The national groups that are working to restore fairness to elections and overturn the U.S. Supreme Court’s Citizens United ruling are calling for nationwide protests when the McCutcheon ruling is issued. I plan to attend a protest/rally in Dallas, at the corner of Lovers Lane and Greenville, from 5pm to 7pm on the day of the announcement and I hope you can attend. Please sign up to attend an event.
