Dear Friends, At the moment it is difficult to make progress at the rate I would like to, because Alias Al has been experiencing worse than usual health issues ever since the public gallery was launched. For those of you who joined more recently and do not know who Alias Al is, he is a freelance internet programmer with considerable experience, who has been working with me on PnF unpaid from the beginning. In particular the editor would not exist without him; the editor is at present 100% Als programming to my design. I have been struggling on, but as time has gone by, the backlog of things he is capable of dealing with and I am not, has escalated. It is now crippling my ability to move forward in a variety of ways. Al has been working with me for three and a half years, as much as his health and paid work will allow. At the moment his paid work is also suffering and he would be in a difficult position even if we were not relying on him. At this point he desperately needs a health breakthrough, and the game needs him to have one as well. He does not like to discuss the details because he does not want to explain to his paying customers why he prefers to moonlight with PnF. So I cannot say more, other than, if we had Al in good health and could pay him a regular wage, this game would have no problems at present, and if this had been the case two years ago, we would have been fully launched some time ago, with game play of a quality you never experienced on fluff. So Im writing, with his agreement, this prayer request. At this time either he gets well, or we face the very difficult search for someone just as capable and the funds to pay them the going wage. We will get through this, and in the meanwhile Ill make such progress as is possible, but your prayers will be greatly appreciated. Now is the time for all things to change for the better.
