Dear Friends, Eternal Vision Ministries and A Heart Connection Ministries have joined with other area ministries, businesses, and individuals to host Christmas Under The Bridge, a humanitarian ecumenical effort to provide some of Knoxvilles homeless with some Christmas hope. This time of year can be especially disheartening for our less fortunate citizens and we believe it is important to let them know that people care. More importantly to us, it is important to let them know that God cares. We hope to acquire as many of the listed items as we can to distribute to the homeless on Central Avenue. This is a list of the items we need. 1: blankets, coats, hoodies, sweaters, ponchos, etc. BACK PACKS AND LARGER SIZE COATS ARE GREATLY NEEDED THIS YEAR!!!!!! 2: shoes, boots, socks 3: hats, toboggans, gloves, scarves, umbrellas, back packs. 4: pull top ready to eat food items. (example: beanie weenies, crackers, cookies, vienna sausages, beef jerky, potted meat, ect.) 5: bottled water 6. Tooth brush, tooth paste, soaps, 7. children’s toys of all ages Ie: all items for wearing is for women, children and men…There are more women and children that are homeless that you would imagine. We will distribute the items on December 22nd. We have are hoping to have all of the items gathered by December 20th for sorting and distribution. We are asking for your assistance in providing this bit of Christmas joy to needy individuals. You can provide assistance in one of three ways, cash donations, donating items from the list, or donating your time to help collect and distribute the items. All donations will be collected through Eternal Vision Ministries because we are 501c nonprofit organization and we can issue receipts for your tax deductible contributions. If you are making a monetary contribution by check, please make checks payable to Eternal Vision Ministries, Inc.. Thank you in advance for your assistance. We know that God will richly bless you for reaching out to those in need. Despite my health issues God has placed phenomenal people to help us this year and we are so excited to see God move.
