Dear Friends, I am asking for your support. Every year our kids Waldorf school has an annual fundraiser and as parents we have committed to raise $1000 in raffle tickets. I hope that you will consider helping me reach my goal. Tickets are $20 each. This year the grand prize is a trip for two to the Kenai Peninsula of Alaska (with customizable adventures depending on your interests) or $4000 in cash. There are other prizes as well, including a beautiful handmade walnut dining table (can be shipped), an original woodcut print by Nick Worblewski, handmade wooden bowls, and some beautiful handmade wooden spoons. We feel so blessed to be able to give our kids a Waldorf education, which nurtures the heart and hands as well as the head. A Waldorf education offers them Spanish language skills; movement and games to strengthen their bodies; music; handwork skills (like knitting and crocheting in the early grades) which strengthen their will and discipline; and academic lessons infused with art. There is a great emphasis in their classroom on the healthy social life of the group- and we feel strongly that we are cultivating our kids for the social renewal of our culture.
