Dear Friends, I am writing to you to publicly endorse Bill - TopicsExpress

Dear Friends, I am writing to you to publicly endorse Bill Clayton, Republican for Legislative District 46, in the Utah House of Representatives in 2014. From the time I turned 18 and first registered to vote, I identified myself as a Democrat, although I voted for one Republican that year (1978). I had worked for Ted Wilson, served as a delegate, campaigned for a number of Democrats over the years, and voted pretty much for Democrats, and a few of my Libertarian friends. Until this year, I spent the past 26 years living in Cottonwood Heights, and among the first neighbors I met, one is currently serving Leg. 46 as your Representative. I became actively interested in replacing my old friend and neighbor in Leg. 46 this year because I found myself questioning the huge expenditure on Common Core testing that is using our school children as lab rats for a corporate experiment, and our current representative is entrenched with the education unions and corporate textbook and testing special interests, and refuses to even listen to the valid concerns of constituents in this district about Common Core. I was willing to join with my Republican friends in finding a replacement who would actually listen to the concerns of everyday people, and that person is Bill Clayton. My career has taken me to St. George, where I work as a public defender. I have gotten to know Bill fairly well in the past six months, and I believe he can represent all of the diverse and unique citizens of District 46. One thing I know for certain: Bill will take the time to listen to you, he will respond, and even when he disagrees with you, he will always give you a fair shot. I encourage Democrats and Independents, Libertarians and Republicans, to vote for Bill Clayton, Utah Legislative District 46, on November 4, 2014. Edward D. Flint Attorney at Law
