Dear Friends, I just learned that Peggy Charren, founder of Action for Childrens Television and former board member at KIDS FIRST! passed away this morning. Never one to stay away from a challenge, she led the way in pushing for regulation of television that required networks to provide educational programming for children and spoke up in Congress when they tried to defend the Jetsons saying that it taught kids about science. She passed away peacefully and will be missed by all of us whose lives she has touched. Bless you #PeggyCharren.
