Dear Friends, I need to repeat this once in a while. I am a Catholic American. I am for God and Country. The Church commands us to be good and faithful citizens. Jesus said, Give to God what is Gods; and to Caesar what is Caesars. America is unique in that it was founded upon believe in a God and inalienable rights. Our Government was made to protect this fundamental truth. When our leaders act with policies that contradict this basic human principles, it is not only the right of Catholics to speak, truth to power, it is our DUTY as compelled by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops as defined in their document, Faithful Citizenship which can be found on their website. Long, round-about saying that I do not shy away from politics in posting here, as it is my Catholic Duty to inform and protest. nic
