Dear Friends, If you know me, you should know how much I adore & love my Sorority. I know you are concerned, but, please don’t ask me if I’ve seen that travesty on VH1. I’ve NEVER watched it & I will NOT waste my electricity or time on dignifying that garbage. Ill trust the intelligent decisions & opinions of enough people that have witnessed yet another show tearing down & devaluing women, as being unworthy of my patronage. I understand being curious; but, is it necessary to be shot by a gun, to know that it can kill you? There’s strength in numbers. Our history & those before us shouldve taught us how banding together brings success in changing issues that demonize & disrespect our culture & race. It appears to be less effective these days, because too many will give in to the hype of being able to say that youve watched it or can talk about it or what youve seen on it. Stop falling in the trap. Are we really lacking one more avenue that provides ammunition for thinking its okay to gun us down in the street, just look at how they act & treat each other? Really?! If youre watching it, youre a part of the problem, not the solution, as you are helping this mess stay on the air. You dont have to be Greek to acknowledge, appreciate, & understand the contributions that the members of the Divine Nine developed & brought to fruition for our people. Recognize when you are being attacked, & do something about it. Stop buying the proverbial bullets & helping them load their guns. If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
