Dear Friends, Im asking for your generosity to help my countrymen in this tragic time. 2 days ago, the Philippines was ravaged by super typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan. Thousands of dead bodies scattered around, homes were destroyed and government services were paralysed due to the super typhoons 260-320 km/hr wind and a storm surge that reached almost 10-20 feet high. Almost all of Tacloban City and nearby towns were under water. The Philippine government has estimated that it will take at least 60 days to restore power and more that 120 days to clean up roads and debris. At this moment, there are no means of communication and transportation access. I havent heard from my relatives as well. Seaports and Airports were destroyed. Livelihoods were destroyed and it is unimaginable were the rest of the survivors will take shelter. They have lost everything.
