Dear Friends, In an attempt to make Bangalore a safer place for our kids, me and my friends have started a driver on call facility wherein we will provide women drivers for pick up and drop of children to school, taking elders out as well as driving the women. We have been getting a lot of interest in the same, and we will reach out to Bangalore to subscribe for these services at a later date. The help I really need from each one of you at this point of time is to refer women who would like to take up this noble job, I am willing to take up the driving training costs as well as basic English training and self defence. I need people to give up this thought of driver being a blue collared job, this is the need of the hour for the safety of our families. At this point of time, I am also looking at a day time job, not an evening job for the safety of these women. I reach out to all my friends and associates to help out in this mammoth job in whatever way they could, maybe put me on to government colleges wherein the ladies could work for part time and somewhere also take care of their education costs for this. Women based NGOs/ social organisations looking at placement of their people may be a good option. Or maybe just speak to other people ladies for their references, just build up the word for us.
