Dear Friends, It is with deep sadness that I announce my resignation from my position as Director of PR/Marketing and Programming at SWAIA. I have been laboring over this decision for many months and it’s been a very difficult process. I so loved my work at SWAIA. During my tenure at the organization, Santa Fe Indian Market has maintained a significant and steady increase in visitors and revenue for Native artists, the City of Santa Fe, and the State of New Mexico. We also achieved a new level of national and global recognition and press coverage. I am especially proud of the meaningful community and youth programs that introduced Native arts to the next generation of artists and patrons. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Dr. Bruce Bernstein and Dr. John Torres Nez whose hard work, vision and commitment towards Native arts, youth and communities is absolutely inspiring. I am thankful to have created and maintained relationships with wonderful partners and supporters of SWAIA Santa Fe Indian Market. Finally, it was my privilege and honor to work for Native artists on a daily basis. Working towards the advancement of Native arts and communities is and will continue to be a focus in my life. I would like to thank my amazing, strong, brilliant coworkers and wonderful friends and family for all of their support over the past months. I know it was a lot at times.
