Dear Friends, It’s with a lot of excitement we share with you a great fundraising opportunity this month. Texas Roadhouse in Kenosha is generously donating free lunches in support of Relay For Life of Kenosha. On Monday, April 21st from 11 am to 2 pm, cancer survivors and caregivers will serve patrons in the restaurant a Free Lunch. A limited menu is served – a pulled pork sandwich, applesauce, fries and a fountain drink. Diners are encouraged to leave generous tips, in exchange for the free lunch. All tips received benefit Relay For Life of Kenosha. There are 2 ways you can get involved and raise money towards your individual/team fundraising efforts. Encourage everyone you know to visit the restaurant for lunch Monday, April 21st. After eating their free lunch, they are invited to leave a generous tip in the envelope provided. They write your name/your team name on the envelope, so you receive credit for their donation amount, whether the donation is made as cash, credit card, or check (payable to American Cancer Society). The best part is that they don’t need to bring the flyer. They just show up and enjoy a delicious meal served with a smile and leave their generous tip for you! Another option is for you to place a To-Go order for your workplace. Should you decide to coordinate a To-Go order, you can post the To-Go flyer (Click Here to download). Here’s how it works: A). Send out an email blast to your coworkers about the free lunch and let them know where you posted the order form (of course you can also take orders via email). B). By close of business Wednesday, April 16th, please contact Nikki Payne at nikkidennard@yahoo, (847) 922-9619, with the approximate number of lunches you’ll need and what time you plan on coming to the restaurant to pick them up. This is so we can give Texas Roadhouse a heads-up as to the number of To-Go we expect to fulfill. C). Then collect all of the tips from your coworkers PRIOR to your arrival at the restaurant on Monday, April 21st. The money you collect will be credited towards your Relay fundraising goal, when you pick up the To-Go lunches. D). You are then responsible for distributing the lunches, upon leaving the restaurant. This is a very unique opportunity and we are very fortunate to have this type of support from Texas Roadhouse. We want to serve as many people as possible, in the restaurant and with To-Go orders, to raise as much money as possible. We hope you will take part in this amazing fundraiser.
